For the enthusiast! Special antique Art Deco ring with Bolshevik cut diamonds. The Bolshevik cut diamond originated in, you guessed it, Russia.

A piece of history ... With the advent of steam engines, it became possible in the mid-18th century to give a diamond round shapes. Since diamond is the hardest mineral in the world - and naturally angular in shape - before that time, people actually got no further than rounding the corners. And so the old European Cut was created, extremely popular at the time.

After the Russian revolution, early 20th century, Russian diamond cutters polish the diamonds from their own mines in imitation of the old European Cut model. But unfortunately they did not always have the latest tools at their disposal. As a result, there was much more 'on the eye' sharpening. In doing so, they wanted to keep as much weight of the rough diamond as possible. And so the Bolshevik cut diamonds have a slightly higher table (the top sharpening compartment), and they are not always perfectly round. The charm of the cut and the hallmark of Bolshevik diamonds.

A wonderful ring with a rich history, for a special person. With this ring you carry a piece of history with you, complete with Russian diamonds!
